You can sail all
of our boats without a license. From our own
experience we know that those who have never
sailed or have little experience can find it
very daunting to manoeuvre under bridges and
in narrow harbours. For this reason and in
conjunction with
Skippers start help
( SSH),
we have developed two and three-hour manoeuvring courses that you can begin
immediately on your first day.
You practice for 2 or 3 hours with an
experienced SSH instructor. It's also
possible to do a whole-day course. This way
you learn how to handle your charter boat in a
number of situations. Naturally you will
learn how to moor up the boat with the help
of your crew. We believe that this little
course helps to make the sailing holiday
even more relaxed.
We recommend:
2 hour course – suitable for those of you
who have sailed before and just need a
refresher course.
3 hour course – suitable for absolute
beginners or those with very little
experience.
Day course– suitable for absolute beginners,
detailed theoretical & practical course.
Prices:
2 hour course € 90 (start of sailing)
3 hour course € 120 (start of sailing)
Day course € 217 (Tuesdays or Saturdays)
1 1/2 Day course € 270 (start of sail and
next day)
The
reservation should be made no less than 3
weeks before your start date.

Are you the
skipper of a motor yacht who has absolutely
no experience, then the SSH will teach you
everything you need to know to master your
boat from Yacht Charter Wetterwille in one
day.
You will be
instructed on board by an experienced SSH
instructor, who will sail with you and your
crew through one of the prettiest parts of
the Frisian Lakes district. While under way, he
will teach you how to steer, moor and cast
off/on the boat, for situations at bridges,
marinas, etc.
You will stay
overnight in your boat while moored to the
SSH jetty at the Mid-Friesland water sports
centre at Kameleondorp Terherne on the Sneek
Lake.
For
uninterrupted holiday pleasure and for the
sake of the safety of all the crew members,
it is not enough simply to be familiar with
the boat, it is also indispensible to have
the knowledge of a number of important rules
and regulations that apply when sailing.
That's why
the SSH provide practice-oriented
theoretical courses of about 1 hour in the
comfortable surroundings of the SSH building
in Mid-Friesland Water Sport Centre. You
will receive an SSH information folder where
you will find everything that you have just
learned.

with an even greater degree of pleasure.
